The Blogmopolitan Quiz

I woke up and found Erin's version of this and sat in bed for a good 30 minutes reading everyone who linked up. Of course I had to tag along and do one. The quiz they do in Cosmo is one of my favorite parts to read in the mag and it was so fun to fill out my own.

I also wanted to state how crappy I have been at blogging lately. Forgive me people, being a college student sucks and it wipes my brain free of any original ideas. So I can't promise anything until summer starts up, which needs to soon because this -30 degree crap Wisconsin is throwing at us is getting old. You hear me Wisconsin!? Cut this shit out.

However, I've had all week off because of my job hates me, so I've had some time to put together some semi-cool posts. You can look forward to seeing a couple healthy muffins recipes that I am so excited to share because they turned out delicious! Also there is a wonderful giveaway coming your way so keep a look out for that.

7 Questions- Halloween Edition

Today, I'm linking up with the wonderful Gentri Lee in her 7 Questions- Halloween Edition! I love the spirit of Halloween and of course all the candy that comes with it. My stomach however, not so much. This year I'm not doing much because I'll be working. There won't be any passing out candy either, because all the kids in the neighborhood have grown up and we live on top of a hill. People are just not motivated enough to get to the top for more candy. But I've decorated my pumpkins for this year so I'm good.

1. Do you believe in ghosts?

I wish to not believe in ghosts, though I do. 

2. Do you prefer the cute or scary Halloween?

Definitely cute. Princesses are so much better then zombies. 

3. How old were you when you stopped trick or treating? 

I was possibly 13 when I was to cool to trick or treat. However, I wish I never stopped. 

4. Do you have any fun Halloween traditions?

Two words : Hocus Pocus.

5. Share a scary local urban legend. 

uhhhh, I think theres a haunted movie theater down by our mall? I try to stay clear of the stuff. 

6. Would you rather be haunted or be the haunting? 

I would so rather do the haunting!! It'd be like my own Paranormal Activity movie. Though I'd probably clean the house instead of destroy it. 

7. What's your favorite Halloween character / creature? (Dracula, witch, ghost, etc.)

The Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus. Gotta love those girls. 

Nail Polish Swap Link Up

About a month ago I signed up for a nail polish swap over at Rachael's lovely blog. I'm always up for chances to get nail polish, so you bet your grandma's donkey I hopped onto this bag wagon. I was paired up with wonderful Danielle and here's what she got me!

Christmas In July-the unboxing!

A few months ago, I signed up for Christmas In July. I barely made the deadline, but I am so glad I made it in last minute. This was such a fun experience and I had so much fun shopping for my partner. I was paired with Jen from Dexter Morgan's Mama and when I got my box in the mail, I jumped for joy and immediately started tearing apart my box. Jen put the perfect things in my box and I couldn't thank her more. It truly was Christmas in July!!

Jen also got my kitties some cat toys which they instantly took from me when they saw the feathers. They thank you a ton Jen! I want to give Jen a HUGE thank you for the box, I loved it. I'm so happy I signed up for Christmas in July. If it held next year, I'm totally in!

Current Crush: Hello Kitty

My Hello Kitty crush started a few weeks ago when I saw that a Hello Kitty toaster in Target that toasted Hello Kitty's face onto the bread. I was stunned, "that is so freakin cool!!" I always thought Hello Kitty was more of a 2 year old thing, so maybe it's just the inner child in me that feels the need to purchase a Hello Kitty toaster. Seriously, who does that? After that, the crush began....

From Blog Life to Real Life

1. Do you have any real life blog friends?
Yes I do!! My real life best friend, Nikki is the writer behind Across the Sea With Nikki P. She just started blogging about a month ago and she does some really great nail tutorials like this and this, so check her out! She recently moved to Japan with her hubby so she's enjoying her time being a wife and the wonders of Japan. Love you girl!

2. Which blogger are you just dying to meet?
There are so many! I think the top two would definitely be Kylee and Hannah. I'd literally fall over dead if I met them. I follow their blogs like it's a religion.

3. Which blogger's closet would you love to raid?
I'd have to say Kinsey from Sincerely, Kinsey. That ladayy is a freakin' genius when it comes to dressing herself. If I could have half as much talent as she does when it comes to dressing myself in the morning, I'd be one good looking (insert naughty word).

4. You are stuck on an island, which blogger would you want with you to help you survive?
Okay, so I was lucky and got stuck with three bloggers. I think having Rachael, Daryl, and Amanda stuck on an island with me would be a party. They've been all over this world so I think they'd know a thing or two about foraging for exotic fruits or talking the man eating inhabitants out of eating us for dinner. Or at least that's what I hope for.
 
5. The first blogger you remember meeting and connecting with?
The first blogger I ever started reading was Jenni from Story of My Life. It was because of her that I got obsessed with reading blogs and soon after started my own. She writes all about her life in Austin with her handsome hubby and two adorable pups.

6. Any blogger that you remember and look up to?

Jenni really inspires me to be a better blogger and with that enjoy what I blog about. I love reading everything she writes, I could spend hours skimming through her blog.

Daryl is such a great soul and I'm so jealous that she's off traveling the world.

Elsie is my favorite and has the greatest DIY/ fashion / everything else blog. She's my go to gal when I need some major inspiration.

7. Who is the craziest/funniest blogger?
She may not be the craziest blogger I know, but she sure has a good sense of humor. Callie is the writer behind You Don't Even Know and posts like this make my stomach hurt.

8. There's a reality television show for bloggers, who would you want to be casted with you? 
Again, I think having Callie as my co-host would make for one awesome show. Then Hannah would have to do a fashion segment and Ashley could be our DIYer. I can already see it....ahhhmazing. 


9. Some bloggers have really cool jobs, anybody you'd like to swap careers with? 
Dana from the Wonder Forest has an amazing talent for web design and photoshop. I'd love to take over her shop and designing business. I'd probably go crazy, but I'd have so much fun doing so.  


10. Favorite blog design?
Let's just cut to the chase and say, I love mine. The amazing Hannah created it for me a while back and I couldn't thank her enough.  


Then we have Kinsey's, it's so simple and I adore her header. Monica, who is only 14, has an adorable blog design that she made herself! I love her doodle inspired layout. Last but not least, the dynamtic duo of Casey and Savannah have an awesome design. Again their header is one of my favorites. 


So now that two hours past writing this post, I should get on with my day. I really enjoyed writing this and it was so much fun to go through all my favorite blogs again, hope you all enjoyed too!

Here's to my first blogger chain posts. Dana over at the Wonder Forest tagged all of her readers so I thought why not hop on and try it out. I loved reading her questions and eleven random facts so go over there and check it out! NOW!

1. When I eat mac and cheese, I pile on the black pepper and cayenne pepper. I enjoy the black pepper in my mac because that's what my dad use to always do when he made me and my brother mac and cheese. He would always make it with hot dogs and black pepper. I reminds me of the good ol' days of being a kid. I just like the taste of cayenne pepper, so nothing special there.

2. If something is dirty, I need to clean it. For example, Chris' bedroom at the moment doesn't even have a floor at the moment. Some major cleaning will be going down.

3. When I have food urges, I'll binge on that food for like a week then won't eat it for a few more months until the craving comes back. Like Ruffles Potato chips and french onion dip, mmmmmmmm.

4. I need to brush my teeth before bed. If I don't have that minty flavor in my mouth, I can't sleep. 

5. I'm really a crappy baker. I'm real big on the whole trial and error thing, it usually takes a few tries before I get it perfect. 

6. I hate Monopoly with a passion.

7. I'm going to marry Johnny Depp one day. That pirate is all mine.

8. I'm addicted to candy. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as it's considered candy I'll eat it. However my favorite are the chewy sweet tarts (like the little round ones). mmm mmm good.

9. I'm not really a fan of small children and don't know if I actually ever want my own. I can barely handle the one I have now (referring to my little hair ball of child).

10. Bald people creep me out

11. When I was young I believed that clouds were made from the factories smoke stacks. I was very confused when my science teacher told me otherwise. I think I still like my theory, its a bit more creative. 

Here's what Dana asked:

1. Do you ever wish on thing? I wish on dandelions. Truthfully I just like watching the little seeds blow in the wind.
2. Would you shave your head for $10,000? Never, absolutely not. My hair is my security blanket and $10,000 wouldn't make me think otherwise.
3. What is one mistake that you wish you could go back and try again? Turning right instead of left and ending up on the other side of the state. Not cool.
4. Jeans or leggings? Jeggings, bam beat that.
5. Have you ever spit on someone? If myself counts then yes, several times. (Unexpected wind change)
6. What's the first thing you do when wake up and get out of bed? Open my curtains, I love letting the sun come in in the morning.
7. When was your first kiss? 8th grade
8. Have you ever done anything illegal? The only thing 'illegal' I can think about doing is doing a u-turn on the highway. I'm not very dangerous.
9. If you could breed magical animals, what kind would you have? Phoenix, so if I ever get stuck in a situation with a Basilisk, he'll pluck his eye out.
10. Have you ever read someone elses diary? A million times yes.
11. If you could get rid of one thing in the entire world, what would it be? Money, it'd solve a lot of issues.
