things I miss about being a 90's kid

I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately. It's getting close to the end of the semester so all the books I didn't read earlier are beginning to catch up. No judging, I know you all did the same. today I have a fun post that made me reminisce in my childhood and remember the good ol' days. If you were a 90's kid, like moi, I hope you get a laugh out of it as well.

1. My AOL profile
I remember when I would spend all night making my aol profile perfect. That single page was so long it was insane. I remember those stupid character pictures I had to copy and paste into it that  I thought were so cool. I also had to link to every single survey that I filled out about whether I liked vanilla ice cream or chocolate ice cream.

2. Goosebump books

Oh the memories of memories of Goosebumps. My brother owned every single one of these books and I'm pretty sure we owned a few of the movie too. Needless to say, before Harry Potter, these were my life.

3. Being jealous of kids who had Lisa Frank folders

I think I had one Lisa Frank folder throughout elementary school and I treated that folder like it was gold. I was so jealous of the other girls who would come to the first day of glass with a shit load of Lisa Frank. Not that they needed a 10 pack of stickers for school, but I wanted them too. Lisa Frank was da bomb!

4. Having a Gigapet

Yepp, I had one. It hung my backpack and I fed that stupid little shit every day. Speaking of, I had to pick up after it too. How can one little computerized pet poop so much in one day!?

5. Playing MASH and never getting bored

I have notebooks full of MASH games, literally page after page. If it were real life, I would have 100 husbands and 10 million children and be living in a shack. I never got the mansion...

6. Watching Boy Meets World

Who didn't fall in love with this show? I don't even think I need to explain the gloriness of this show, we all know.

7. Playing Where's Carmen San Diego in school

Yet another gloriness. Is that even a word? These were the best days in elemtary school, when all you did was try and find Carmen. Seriously, what happen to this?

8. Getting my first Ferbie

The exciement of my first Ferbie didn't last long, because after finding out how damn annoying and needy those things were, it was thrown in the closet.

9. Wearing matching sweats

I have a picture of me as a kid wearing a pink sweatsuit and the 90's version of a bobble necklace and all I can think about if how awesome it would be if I could still wear that outfit without being called an idiot.

10. Saturday morning cartoons

Now these were the days. I can still remember waking up early on Saturday mornings in order to catch all the cartoons playing. These were the cartoons that actually taught something to kids, not like the cartoons these days created by meth addicts.

If you were a 90's kid, what do you miss the most?

Photo an hour (or every other...) Challenge

I've been loving reading and looking at all the pictures of other blogger's Photo an Hour Challenges, so of course I had to finally do one myself. I had a day off the other and had some chores to get done so I thought it would be a good day to snap the pictures for this post.

I kind of sucked taking a picture every exact hour so they are all over the place. I still thought it was fun and I got to play around with my camera for the day which I always love to do. My days off aren't too interesting, they usually consist of the same things... wake up preparing to work out, don't work out, run errands, sit on my ass all day. So yeah, enjoy!!

 10:00 am
Wake up, brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack... you know the usual.

 11:30 am
Spent a good 30 minutes trying to get our home computer to work. It likes to shut down on its own terms every once in a while. At least I had the big grey fur ball to help me out, he's such a computer enthusiast.

 1:00 pm
Did some replanting of my tomato plants. For those of you who don't live in the mid-west, we're still in full on winter over here which I didn't take into consideration when planting these guys a little early. They're getting quite big, so I had to move them to bigger homes.

 2:00 pm
Made myself a delicious lunch of italian pasta salad and english muffin pizzas. nom nom nom

 4:00 pm
I then spent the majority of my evening sitting in bed with this little princess watching Youtube videos and blogging.

6:00 pm
I snapped this picture.

All night long
Once Chris got home we hopped onto good ol' skype and talked for the rest of the night until I was to tired to keep my eyes open.

Hope you all enjoyed a look into my days off. There not that glamorous, but I am only a college student.

Weekend Adventures

This past weekend Chris and I went to Chicago to visit his brother and see another soccer game. This was my second game and we had seats way closer then last time due to the fact that Chris is now a season ticket holder for the Chicago Fire. The weather was amazing for the first couple of hours until the sun went down, I began to freeze after that. But, the game was still great and I even got eat a hot dog that was the size of my forearm. They called it the Monster Dog, bigger then a foot long. Damn good.

We left Saturday night and drove 5 hours there. Chris drove which meant I spent the time playing video games, taking pictures, eating, and reading. We ate some amazing pizza that Chris' brother and girlfriend got and pretty much just relaxed and played games all night. Sunday morning we shoved our faces with doughnuts and went to the game! Chris and I also drove back to Wisconsin after the game and didn't get back until around 11. I was beat dead tired.

Picture time!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend too!

Fashion // High Low Love

Ever since the high low trend started, I've been obsessed with it. What better way to show off those sexy legs and still feel super cute and flirty then with a high low skirt? I recently went shopping and bought a few skirts to add to my collection and I cannot wait for the warmer weather to bless the very cold state of Wisconsin. Wisconites agree?

Let's take a minute to drool over these lovely high low skirts and think about the warmer spring weather when we can actually wear them.

So cute!!

omg, drool!

Skin Care Routine // New Products

In response to my last post, thank you for all of your insightful comments. I got more feedback than I was expecting and learned a lot from you. I'll definitely have to watch what I do in the future with my DIY's and blog post.

For those who didn't actually read the post and just yelled at me, told me how hateful I was and didn't realize I was looking on how to improve the situation, thank you for your comments too. You're always appreciated.

On a lighter note, I have a post for you all today on something I don't normally talk about here... beauty!! I recently started a new skin care routine and revamped all the products I've been using. I thought it would be fun to let you know and explain a little about the products I've been trying. I've been loving my new regimen and it's been working great with my skin so I'll definitely be sticking with this routine for a while.

 Simple Cleansing Wipes
I've actually been using the Simple brand wipes for a while. I switched to the oil balancing ones to try them out. I have very oiling skin and these have been working great to wipe my face clean and help stop oil for a while. They also don't dry my skin out and they take everything off!

Cetaphil Cleanser and Moisturizer
I've heard so many great things about these products and really wanted to try them out. The cleanser is perfect for my skin. It's not to oily and not to drying. My favorite thing about the moisturizer is the spf factor. I'm a believer in protecting your skin, but I hate putting pure sunscreen on my face. This stuff has the perfect moisture renewing with a touch of sunscreen.

Burt's Bees Acne Spot Treatment
I use this in the morning and at night after washing my face. Helps with swelling and redness and also is made out of all natural ingredients! Love Burt's Bees.

Proactiv Toner and Pads
During the winter I get bad breakouts on my chest and shoulders. Due to the dry weather and layers upon layers that I wear during the colder season, it always happens. I started using new products that have really helped out. At night I'll use these to wipe my skin clean of dirt and then I follow up with the next products.

Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub
I use the soap in the morning with a loofa all over my body and concentrate on my chest and shoulders. I follow up morning and night with the spray. I LOVE this stuff. I was never able to get product onto my back so of course it took for ever for those pesky breakout to go away. This stuff is awesome and as really helped clear up my back for summer.

Clarisonic Mia
I end my nights with my favorite skin product, my Clarisonic Mia. I adore this thing and for those who don't have one the $150 is totally worth it! My skin has never looked or felt better because of this product. It helps get rid of breakouts within days and clears up any scars you might have.

There you have it folks!! I've really been liking this routine and like I said, it's been working great. I would 100% recommend all of these products. I have very oil/combo skin and all of these products help that type of skin, so if your similar definitely try these out if you haven't had any luck with other products.

Hope you all have a great night and talk to you soon!!
