Last week my mom and I had to make the decision that we've been holding off a while. We had to say goodbye to one of the greatest cats I've ever known. Patches had gotten really sick in the last month and wasn't showing any signs of getting better. He put up a strong fight, but I knew he was suffering and knowing he's in a better place now puts a smile on my face.

Thank you Patches for keeping me smiling the past 11 years. Thank you for distracting me with your adorable face when I had homework to be done. Thank you for spending all day in bed with me. You were always the best cuddler. Thank you for greeting me at the door every day. Thank you for being there during all the break ups with high school boys and fights with friends. Thank you for loving me unconditionally, even after yelling at you for drinking out the fish bowl. Most of all, thank you for being the best little fur prince any girl could ask for.

You'll always be the best cat.

Aw Kelly, so sorry to hear about your cat. :( That is always the hardest, but it sounds like you made the right decision.

Aww, my prayers are with you friend! I have a Cat and she's the love of our life. The pic of you kissing up to Patches is the sweetest. I hope you heal quickly and remember all the good times!

Awww, I'm so sorry about your kitty! I know how much a part of your family that Patches probably was, so it can't be easy! Keep your chin up!

This is so adorable..... We had to put down one of our little kittys Sims a few months back and it was so sad :( ... but I did the same thing, a nice long blog post filled of amazing pictures of that adorable lil kitty man! Glad to know there are other crazy kitty lovers out there like me (only in the best way possible of course) ;)
